At his father's mansion, Jim's eccentricity annoys his father, and they argue during dinner. Jim is asked to leave, but Alex speaks privately with Jim's father to try to improve the situation. It turns out that Jim's father still considers Jim his favorite child, but it pains him to see Jim wasting his life when he had so much potential. Jim comes in and convinces his father that he has a happy life and does not need his father's money, and they share a moment before Jim leaves.
